Staples, Radioshack Abandon Amazon’s In-Store Lockers

Staples and Radioshack will no longer house Amazon lockers in their physical stores, Bloomberg reported on September 18.

    Amazon lockers allowed customers to pick-up items at participating Staples or Radioshack locations near their home. The program has been in place at both stores for about a year.

    Sources told the media outlet the program was meant to spur buying at Staples or Radioshack locations, and that the decision to pull the lockers likely meant Amazon customers were not converting for the retail chains.
