Switzerland-based Swisscom, the mobile network operator, announced it has selected Sequent Software for its technology delivered by Trub to allow bank card issues and other service providers to supply cards over-the-air to NFC phones, reported NFC World.
“Using the Trüb service, Swisscom subscribers will soon be able to download their credit or prepaid cards into their SIM cards and together with NFC smartphones use them to make purchases from NFC-enabled merchants,” said Sachin Mittal, Swisscom’s group product manager for mobile payment.
