U.S. Bank Takes iPhone NFC Service Out Of Beta

U.S. Bank announced on July 3 that its NFC mobile payment service for iPhone users is moving out of its beta test phase, NFC World reported. The bank’s Go Mobile service is now available to all iPhone 4 and 4S users who sign up and qualify for a FlexPerks Visa card.

    IPhone 4 and 4S users will gain NFC functionality through the US Bank Go Mobile iPhone case, which is produced by DeviceFidelity. In addition to NFC capabilities, the case also claims to extend the life of iPhone batteries. 

    Prior to this announcement, the service had only been available in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Portland, Oregon.
