U.S. Banks Face 9/11 DDoS Attack Wave

The FBI has issued a warning to U.S. banks, saying they could face a new wave of distributed-denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks on the anniversary of 9/11, Finextra reported on September 11.

The government agency said the threat comes from the infamous Anonymous collective, and that banks should ensure they have a recovery plan in place to counter the threat.
