Ukrainan PrivatBank Intros Contactless POS For Small Merchants

Ukraine’s PrivatBank announced the roll out of a new mobile contactless POS for small merchants in the country, reported Finextra. Customers with a smartphone can receive credit card payments by scanning the card with their camera phone on the iPay app.

    To begin using services, customers must download the free application and link the iPay card or account to a credit or debit account.

    Alexander Vityaz, PrivatBank’s deputy CEO, stated, “The procedure of reception of payments is identical to the Internet acquiring: the customer confirms the payment term of input cards and CVV-code. If you have Smartphone, you are now ready to accept payments by cards, which will expand the scope of technology, and customers will be always satisfied with the quality of reception of payments.”
