Wells Fargo: Nearly 50% Of ATM Transactions Receipt-Free

California-based financial services company Wells Fargo has announced that since it began offering paperless transactions in 2009, consumers have opted out of receiving 1 billion receipts, ATM Marketplace reported on September 17.

Currently, Wells Fargo estimates that 46 percent of its customers opt to have an e-receipt sent to their email account or mobile phone.

“We’re proud to support our customers’ green choices by making it easier than ever to minimize waste,” Alicia Moore, head of Wells Fargo ATM banking, told the report.
