San Francisco-based mobile shopping app Wish has introduced a new feature that enables users to purchase and ship products to others, TechCrunch reported on September 27.
Called Gifting, the service uses social integration to show users upcoming birthdays in their social networks, and to recommend purchases for these users.
“We use collaborative filtering in the same way that Amazon.com uses it,” Wish CEO Peter Szulczewsk told the media outlet. “People that buy this will also buy these items.”
