Bradesco Seguros, a branch of one the big banks that offers medical insurance, will launch an Andorid and iOS m-wallet, developed by Scopus, which will enable customers to consolidate cards. Windows and tablet support will be available in a second phase.
Clinics, labs and third parties will be able to scan QR codes to improve customer-waiting times. Starting in May the app will be available for selected customers and is expected to fully launch in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro in 2014 2H.
During 2014 1Q Bradesco Celular m-app was reportedly downloaded 9M times while 88% of operations were digital. At the same time smartphone transactions grew to 20% vs. 13% in December. Bradesco Seguros intends to leverage on data collected through the app.
