Cielo’s New Partnership

Cielo, Brazil’s largest merchant acquirer and Linx, an ERP provider, signed a non-exclusive partnership, which will bring management solutions to SMEs. The move is defensive for Cielo as it tries to defend its 56% market share menaced by new entrants. Its targets are retailers with up to 5 stores, which make 2/3 of Cielo’s customer base. A survey showed 52% didn’t use a management system.
