A New York start-up wants to challenge Craigslist and Ebay by encouraging its buyers and sellers to use Bitcoins instead of other payments.
Corkket.com wants to reshape local online trading by providing more trustworthy ways for payments and offer full refunds to buyers who change their minds, CoinDesk reports.
“We believe in making person-to-person local commerce easy, safe, and fast for everyday people,” Co-founder Angel Beale said. “As longtime Bitcoin enthusiasts, we know Bitcoin is ideally suited as a payment method for privacy and security-conscious users.”
The company focuses on a hyperlocal approach and points buyers to deals that are going on in their neighborhood first.
