Home Depot’s eCommerce Push Begins

Home Depot is looking to expand its online presence with the opening of one of three planned fulfillment centers.

The company announced the opening in the Atlanta region on Feb. 11, Internet Retailer reported.

The facility employs 150 workers, with an estimated 300 new jobs expected to be added in the future.

“This is a significant investment in our ability to say ‘yes’ to customers with confidence,” Mark Holifield, Home Depot’s senior vice president, supply chain, said in a statement. “Yes, you have access to our entire inventory to fulfill your order. Yes, you can expect a speedy delivery. And yes, you can rely on information updates about your delivery.”
