iZettle, Europe’s answer to Square, has been chosen as Nordea’s mPOS solution provider in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. Nordea is Northern Europe’s largest financial services group.
“iZettle is all about sales for small businesses – making sure no sale is ever missed, and that sales data can be used to generate even more sales,” said Jacob de Geer, iZettle co-founder and CEO, reports Finextra. “Great partners like Nordea give us the access and support we need to achieve our ultimate goal of helping small business prosper.”
Under the cooperation agreement Nordea will promote iZettle mPOS solutions to their small business customers on their website as well as in 800 branch offices throughout the Nordic region.
iZettle began in 2011 as a way for SMBs to easily accept card payments. The business has grown by leaps and bounds since then, and recently closed out an over $50 million funding round. iZettle is available across Europe and is also starting to emerge worldwide. Mexico and Brazil have recently joined the iZettle fold.
