Navy Federal Credit Union Gets Mobile Banking Solution

The Navy Federal Credit Union announced this week that it had partnered with the cloud-based technology company Acumen Solutions to bring mobile banking solutions to its customers. According to a statement from Acumen, mobile banking applications will be available on Apple iOS™ and Android™ platforms, as well as the credit union’s mobile website.

The credit union first launched its iPad application in 2013, which was able to boast an intuitive user interface, social media integration, spending charts and graphs and core mobile banking features.

According to Acumen Solutions Managing Director Jim Herzog, the high ratings that the credit union has recently earned on its newly released apps push it onto the same level as other financial institutions that offer quality mobile applications to their members.

“Navy Federal’s leadership and vision in mobile banking combined with Acumen Solutions’ expertise in mobile solutions that drive business objectives has resulted in tremendous success with the roll out of the application across a number of devices,” Herzog said.

Additionally, the credit union recently added the capability for customers to apply for a credit card from the app. A tool was also created to help members select a credit card that best suits their needs.
