Canadian online retailer Gilt reportedly has launched a new ad touting discounted designer products in which mobile commerce is playing a key role, Internet Retailer reported recently.
In the ad, called “Chase” and part of a campaign titled “Make It Yours With Gilt,” a woman comes across an outdoor fashion shoot where a model looks at her watch and realizes she’s about to miss when Gilt offers new deals.
The model runs, and the other woman gives chase in an action scene. When a big building clock strikes 12, the woman giving chase gets out her phone and orders a yellow dress, which sweeps off the model’s body (she’s still clothed!) and covers the other woman.
The ad, already on YouTube, began airing on national TV spots in the U.S. on March 31. The campaign launches this month in April.
