    Scammers try to get cardholders to give them their card security code, identifying themselves over the phone as representatives of the card companies and saying the holder’s card had been flagged for unusual activity. They ask the holder if they’ve purchased an anti-telemarketing device from an Arizona-based company.

    Visa said it would never ask for such information, as it already has it.
