SAP: ‘Game Changer’ Heading To Financial World

This week, SAP’s user conference SAPPHIRE NOW is taking place in Orlando, Florida. CMS Wire reported on the latest action, which included a special announcement from SAP about a new product launch.

Company executives announced that SAP had a new finance solution – Simple Finance. According to SAP Platform Solutions President Steve Lucas, Simple Finance will provide a giant step into the future for finance departments around the globe. Essentially, the innovation leverages both SAP’s finance solutions – which were built according to customer input – and the real-time in memory technology of SAP HANA.

SAP CEO Bill McDermott explained during his keynote address that there are data and processes out there “built for controlling and not collaborating.”

“Why can’t we get actual data to make our own decisions in real time?” McDermott asked. “Why can’t we get financial data by searching for it? It’s time for SAP to make sophisticated finance simple. This is another SAP game changer for the business software industry.”

According to the news source, the integration of these components in Simple Finance will let companies run their mission critical processes in real time on the SAP Cloud, which could help the industry reach new heights.
