Target’s TV Product Placements For Immediate Sale Online

The products that Target places on a new episode of “Cougar Town,” the TBS comedy series, will be for simultaneous sale on the viewer’s “second screen,” The New York Times reported.

    The episode that aired on March  18 will be simulcast online, at ShopCougarTown.com. When viewers see a Target product they like on the show, they can look at the synced online version and be taken to Target.com, where they can buy it once they click on a flashing red symbol over the item.

    After the initial airing, the episode with the products highlighted by flashing symbols will remain online through April 15 at TBS.com/Target. Clicking to shop pauses the video.
