Starting today, New Yorkers with courier needs will be able to tap into a new resource; UberRush.

Those in need of a courier will be able to use UberRush’s app based intercase to hire a foot or bike messengers to send packages from Manhattan to anywhere else in the city.  The cost of delivery will range from $15 to $30, depending on the distance the courier must travel.

Users will be able to track their package’s progress through the mean streets of New York with the app, and the service will be available 24-hours a day 7-days a week.

“It’s an Uber for things,” said Josh Mohrer, general manager of Uber NYC told CNBC
