The deal will connect Danal’s mobile identity platform with Verizon’s systems, so mobile-commerce merchants will be able to identify devices and phone users in real time in order to improve security for mobile transactions. Along with authentication and fraud prevention capabilities, Danal will also make possible services such as auto-filling shipping addresses using mobile operator data.

Danal claims its merchant testing shows a 200-to-300-percent increase in mobile transaction completions when using its mobile identity platform.

In 2010, Verizon adopted Danal’s BilltoMobile, which allows customers to make mobile-commerce purchases and then have charges appear on their monthly phone bills.
