Deliveright Teams With BigCommerce on Heavy Goods Automation

Delivery-as-a-Service Company BARQ Raises $4M

Deliveright, a final-mile digital delivery platform, is working with open software-as-a-service (SaaS) eCommerce company BigCommerce to simplify delivering heavy goods through automation, a press release said Thursday (March 10).

BigCommerce merchants will be able to take control of all stages of fulfillment, from the point of origin to the customer’s home, including real-time data.

The app will combine with Deliveright’s Grasshopper platform and provides instant shipping quotes. It also offers service levels ranging from curbside to full white-glove delivery.

Last-mile delivery has been a challenging process in North America, with the market expected to bloat by $59.81 billion by 2025.

“The importance of a seamless delivery process cannot be overstated, as it plays a critical role in a brand’s overall service quality. More than ever, consumers want to receive their online purchases quickly, regardless of pervasive supply chain issues,” said Doug Ladden, CEO of Deliveright. “BigCommerce merchants have the opportunity to potentially mitigate delivery delays and improve customer experience with complete visibility and a focus on solving the ever-elusive final-mile challenge.”

BigCommerce has also teamed with Digital River, PYMNTS wrote, to offer a commerce solution for global customers.

The solution will manage payments, tax, fraud and compliance, along with making cross-border selling simpler.

Merchants will be able to integrate Digital River’s Merchant of Record business model to manage risks and maximize conversions through localized checkouts.
