MoneyGram already has a home delivery network in Vietnam, but teaming with HD Bank offers customers more confidence money will arrive where it is supposed to and on time.

“HD Bank has been a wonderful partner since the beginning of our relationship and we are proud to continue our work with them to provide money delivery services in this fast-growing region,” said MoneyGram Chief Revenue Officer Grant Lines. “MoneyGram is committed to enhancing our product offerings in Vietnam and we believe this is a progressive and mutually rewarding step towards that goal.”

Customers in urban areas using HD Bank’s home remittance service through MoneyGram will receive the money within three hours if the transaction is done before 10:30 a.m. local time. For those living in suburban and rural areas, money can be received on the same day or the following day.

“We are proud to continue our legacy of working with MoneyGram to ensure our customers have products and services for their needs,” said Lê Thành Trung, Deputy General Director of HD Bank. “It’s a very exciting time to add home delivery to our range of services and we look forward to seeing the positive impact it will make in the lives of our customers.”

MoneyGram partnered with Korean money transfer company Sentbe last month, signing a partnership to make Sentbe the first MoneyGram virtual agent in South Korea. Sentbe has done billions of local transactions, and MoneyGram says the company lines up with its own goal of giving customers a broad range of options when it comes to digital currency transfers.

Sentbe, which is based in South Korea, wants to improve cross-border person-to-person money transfers by using new technology. The company is licensed as a financial institution in South Korea and works to give everyday users financial opportunities they might not be able to get in the current financial system.
