Cloud Payments Processor Volante Adds Two Senior Customer Success Roles

Cloud payments processor Volante Technologies announced on Thursday (Nov. 5) two senior hires in customer success and solution delivery, expanding its leadership team after completing a $35 million funding round in August.

The new hires include Buddhadeb Das Gupta, incoming SVP payment solutions, and Debbie Payne, incoming SVP global customer success.

We genuinely believe that our success is predicated on our customers’ success,” said Volante CEO Vijay Oddiraju in a press release emailed to PYMNTS. “In the spirit of continuing this tradition, I am delighted to welcome Debbie and Buddhadeb and their deep domain expertise, experience, and customer-first attitude to the Volante leadership team.”

Das Gupta comes to Volante from digital finance firm JMR Infotech, where he was EVP of product. Das Gupta will be heading up Volante’s global solution delivery and implementation teams.

FinTech veteran Payne, with experience working at Fiserv, Fidelity, Mercator/IBM, HelioGraph, and CheckFree, will oversee Volante’s customer success projects and growing the company’s customer relations.

After announcing the August funding round, Volante elaborated its goals to expand its cloud technology services, calling it the “single most important technological solution for business continuity,” in a contribution to a recent PYMNTS eBook. Oddiraju explained that, in this fast-paced digital environment, businesses need cloud technology to adapt and scale quickly, as well as continue to experiment and innovate.

“The cloud means firms can provide services from one location to any remote part of the world, very easily at a minimal cost and in a way that can be scaled,” he told PYMNTS in a separate conversation. “I think it’s a fabulous thing that happening in the world right now.”
