Ordergroove, which works in relationship commerce, has named Todd Donahue as chief financial officer and Lindsay Wright as vice president of client services, with an eye toward expanding the company, a press release says.

    The release notes that the subscription and membership space is likely to reach $2.6 trillion by 2028.

    Ordergroove’s services help clients get more value from subscriptions, including adding more incentives for customers and more ways for businesses to see analytics. Ordergroove saw a 70% increase in subscriptions this year and a 73% increase in new customers.

    Donahue comes to the company with 25 years of finance and operating experience with SaaS and tech companies. He will be in charge of carrying out the company’s vision and strategic plans, and delivering value to the customer base and stakeholders. One of his past jobs was as Mastercard’s strategy and operations leader for its merchant loyalty business. He will aim to help Ordergroove scale the relationship commerce category.

    Wright has 15 years of experience with customer experience and building teams. He will help Ordergroove focus on empowering merchants to deliver subscription-first work and use data-driven insights, integrations and automation.

    As PYMNTS reported, subscription commerce is seeing a new kind of pressure to improve their customers’ overall experiences in order to meet expectations that have been buoyed by the pandemic. Subscription merchants have been boosting those experiences since Q1 2021 by adding more features, according to PYMNTS’ Subscription Commerce Conversion Index. Those features included things like guarantee or refund policies, pause features and buy buttons by the fourth quarter.
