Truepill Appoints President Paul Greenall as CEO

Truepill, a provider of B2B solutions for the pharmacy industry, has appointed its president, Paul Greenall, as CEO.

Greenall joined the company in 2022 and, as president, oversaw global operations and led the company’s business strategy, partnerships and growth teams, Truepill said in a Friday (Aug. 4) press release.

“Truepill was founded on a commitment to transform the delivery of care, and Paul’s decades-long experience in the healthcare space position him well to lead the company as it continues to achieve this mission,” Annie Lamont, board member and managing partner of Truepill investor Oak HC/FT, said in the release.

Before joining Truepill last year, Greenall held senior positions at healthcare solution provider McKesson and consulting firm Prophet, where he led strategy, growth and business development, according to the release. He also serves on the boards of two European healthcare technology companies.

In his new position, he will lead Truepill, which powers B2B digital pharmacy experiences with solutions that include nationwide prescription fulfillment and delivery, white-label packaging and product design, the release said.

“Since I joined Truepill, I have worked closely with our teams, customers and investors to scale the company, increasing access to unique and innovative pharmacy models,” Greenall said in the release. “I look forward to leading our capable team through this next chapter of growth, all the while keeping our partners and their patients at the center of all we do.”

Truepill is positioning itself to add value to many aspects of the new healthcare routines of Americans, Truepill Co-founder Sid Viswanathan told PYMNTS’ Karen Webster in an interview posted in June 2022.

At the time of the interview, Truepill was already a fulfillment partner for prescription discounting platform GoodRx and high-profile startups like online discount pharmacy Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company.

Gone are the days when you would “blindly trust the cost structure or design of your health plan and say, ‘I’m going to pay it,’” Vishwanathan said. “Now, you’re seeing a change in the consumer mindset.”

PYMNTS research has found that automation of payment and invoicing processes can grant both healthcare organizations and their suppliers many benefits.

Among these benefits are better speed and predictability of payments, increased protection of sensitive patient data, and more accurate invoicing and payment status, according to the “B2B Payments in Healthcare Tracker®,” a PYMNTS and American Express collaboration.
