Real-time payments are moving beyond speed, as new integrations and national systems — from Plaid’s instant pay-ins to Brazil’s Pix Automático — broaden access and functionality. The latest “Real-Time Payments World Map,” a collaboration with The Clearing House, highlights how financial institutions (FIs), FinTechs and central banks are building a more connected and capable payments ecosystem.

Inside the July World Map

  • Financial data network Plaid added support for instant pay-ins via the RTP® network to its multi-rail payment platform in June, allowing businesses to request payments from customers in real time and receive instant confirmation and final settlement.
  • ACI Worldwide has unveiled ACI Connetic, a new cloud-native, centralized payments hub designed to simplify and modernize payment operations for banks and FIs while supporting connectivity with leading payment networks worldwide.
  • In Brazil, payments infrastructure provider PPRO has introduced Pix Automático to its platform, enabling merchants and payment service providers to offer recurring payment options for subscriptions and utilities through Pix.
