This capability is enabled by a new integration of the EV Driver by WEX app with the Tesla Supercharger network, WEX said in a Monday (Nov. 17) press release.
The integration is now live across all Tesla Supercharger locations in Europe and includes both Tesla and non-Tesla vehicles, according to the release.
Drivers can access Tesla Superchargers via the EV Driver by WEX app or via the Tesla app, to which they can add their WEX EV charge card as a payment method, per the release.
The integration added 20,000 fast-charging points across 1,500 locations to the WEX platform, increasing the number of high-power charging stations accessible through the app by 10%, according to the release.
Drivers already use the EV Driver by WEX app to charge at 1 million charging points throughout Europe, per the release.

The app compares real-time pricing across all networks, plans optimal routes, tracks sessions and manages payments, according to the release.
Its integration with Tesla Superchargers is “a win for drivers and fleet managers,” WEX Chief Operating Officer, International Jay Dearborn said in the release.
“Drivers get effortless, reliable access to one of Europe’s largest fast-charging networks,” Dearborn said. “Fleet managers gain the clarity and control they count on from WEX, with unified payments, smarter route planning and more predictable charging costs.”
WEX said in September that it expanded its electric vehicle charging network in the United States by forming partnerships with charging point operators Lynkwell and Revel and smart charging platform Ampcontrol.
These collaborations enabled hundreds of additional charging stations across the U.S. to accept payments from fleet operators that use WEX.
In August, WEX selected Trulioo Document Verification and Biometrics to handle the know-your-customer process for its European fuel card customers. The company said that with this move, WEX would replace manual processes while enhancing onboarding and mitigating fraud.
“By replacing manual, time-consuming processes with intelligent verification, we’re helping to reduce fraud risk, streamline onboarding and create a seamless digital experience for our customers,” William Fitzgerald, vice president, fraud and financial crimes at WEX, said at the time in a press release.
