At the last official Apple Event held this month, Tim Cook announced that Apple Pay would sign on an additional 500 banks throughout the course of both this year and next. Cook has already started to make good on that assertion since both Visa and MasterCard recently released a list consisting of 440+ banks and financial institutions that will back and support the Apple Pay platform within the United States. Visa is coordinating with the mentioning banks and institutions and plans to rollout within the next coming weeks. MasterCard should fully be rolled out with their listed supporters within the next coming months.
