Viewpost deals in the transparency and ease of B2B payments, providing a portal through which suppliers can see outstanding invoices and through which buyers can pay their partners. Now, the B2B payments player is upping its game in the security of these transactions.

The company revealed Wednesday (Dec. 2) that it is beefing up its security measures through BrandProtect technology. According to the company, the sensitive nature of the information exchanged through its platform, in addition to the platform being built within the cloud, means security is crucial for the businesses using its eInvoicing and ePayments services.

“Our clients trust us with their financial information — what they’re buying, who they’re doing business with, who their vendors and resources are,” said Viewpost EVP, General Counsel and CSO Christopher Pierson in a statement.

BrandProtect will reportedly provide constant monitoring of the Viewpost system to safeguard against external threats like cyberattacks. It will also provide incident analysis and daily reports, as well as conduct the removal of illegal or infringing materials that may show up.

Viewpost said working with BrandProtect is part of an effort to combat cybercrimes like phishing, fake social media profiles, identity theft and other attacks that hit the digital world.

BrandProtect CEO Roberto Drassinower said such incidents are a growing problem. “As businesses grow and prosper, they are increasingly in the crosshairs of cybercriminals,” he stated. “Threats are becoming more complex, as hackers are more organized than ever and employing a wide range of attacks to exploit every potential vulnerability.”

Drassinower added that Viewpost’s B2B payments portal “requires the utmost levels of security.”

“Security is baked into everything we do, including the application, company and even the fabric of the people we hire,” added Pierson. “And we have to protect that both within our walls and beyond the bounds of Viewpost to cope with emerging threats.”
