New Booking.com Unit Brings Web Design To Hotels

While largely seen as a travel booking service for individuals, Booking.com is quietly strengthening its B2B relationships. The company just announced the launch of a new digital B2B service, BookingSuite, a separate unit of Booking.com that allows accommodation providers to launch their own digital presence.

    According to Booking.com, BookingSuite will offer mobile-optimized websites and use cloud technology for hotel owners to set up a “sophisticated Web presence” to help them “keep pace with fast-moving technology.” According to Booking.com, the new service aims to promote organic hotel bookings for these providers.

    “For the first time, accommodation providers in all regions of the world can benefit from a high-quality online presence with no financial risk and no operational and technical headaches,” BookingSuite director Rob Ransom said. “BookingSuite eliminates time and resources wasted with traditional website development and management, enabling partners to benefit immediately from a strong online presence.”

    BookingSuite is offering its WebDirect tool to give business owners full control over the content they display. The only fees and charges with this tool, Booking.com said, is a payment whenever an individual books a reservation through the BookingSuite portal.

    In addition to Web design, BookingSuite offers ROI analytics, the firm said. Its content management tool and Web building platform integrates into hotel owners’ existing booking systems and social media channels.

    Assuring that hotel owners’ Web presence is optimized for mobile devices may not come as a surprise. Booking.com recently announced its own app for the Apple Watch — which allows users to book reservations on the wearable device — the latest venture that highlights Booking.com’s embrace of mobile technology.
