JustVisual announced the introduction of new visual search offerings for fashion to its visual search and image recognition APIs yesterday (Aug. 5).
Developers and partners can now add visual search for fashion to their own apps through JustVisual’s latest style-focused API. The company also welcomed LikeThat Style to its suite of visual search mobile apps for consumers in order to showcase how powerful a tool visual search can be for fashion.
“Our mission is to reinvent the way that people search – using their camera, not just a text box,” said Kevin Lee, Head of Product at JustVisual, in a company release. “High-performance, large-scale mobile visual search plays an important role in realizing that mission.”
JustVisual’s new fashion visual search joins the company’s growing list of APIs, including: flower and plant identification, furniture and décor visual search, pets visual search, facial expression, and people and places tagging.
The free LikeThat Style mobile app, which is available for both Apple and Android devices, provides access to a broad digital catalogue of more than 8 million women’s fashion styles from thousands of merchants.
