Regions Financial Adds Remote Deposit To Prepaid, Readies New Savings Product

Upping its efforts to attract low-income and underserved banking consumers to its business, Alabama’s Regions Financial is adding remote deposit capability to its prepaid card accounts, and devising a new savingsproduct that includes a matching component.

The bank’s full suite of products for the underbanked, called “Now Banking,” includes check cashing, money transfer, prepaid, and expedited bill pay services, American Banker reports.
