Study: 86% of Plastic Card Fraud Happens Online in U.K.

Through the first five months of 2012, 86 percent of all plastic card fraud in the U.K. was attempted or carried out online, according to CIFAS, the nation’s Fraud Prevention Service.

    And fraud is increasing: according to CIFAS, plastic card fraud grew by 28 percent this year compared to the same time frame in 2011.
