If the European competition regulators agree that the basics of competition law are not being broken, Vodafone, O2 and Everything Everywhere will be able to offer a single platform that will transform smartphones into mobile wallets.
Users will be able to load their phones with cash credits directly from their bank accounts. They will also be able to load their debit and credit card details. This will simplify transactions by generating an authorization code, which will be given to the shop, retailer, or other business party.
