Russians Speed-Up Smartphone Adoption

According to WapSart and Openstat Russia is now home to 35 million mobile users, that is 25% of the country’s population. Mobile adoption has experience a speedy increase in the last few years, growing 51% in 2012. Russians are keen to use their smartphones for shopping with 23% of mobile users having carried out a purchase through a smartphone. In 2011, 33% of smartphone users shopped on their mobile device every month.
