Barclaycard US has appointed payments industry veteran Patrick Wright as chief operating officer, Finextra reported. As COO, Wright will oversee operations, technology, customer service and quality management for the US payments business of the UK-headquartered bank.
Finextra added: “Wright brings more than 25 years of experience in operations and technology roles to his new post. A former US president and chief executive officer of Wincor-Nixdorf, Wright joins Barclayard US from Tuyet Consulting, a financial advisory firm he founded in 2010. Prior to that, he spent 17 years at JP Morgan Chase in a variety of roles in retail banking, information technology, e-commerce, service centre management, control and audit.”
