NFC chip specialist Inside Secure could cut up to 20 percent of its workforce after announcing that its revenues fell 19 percent in 2012, reports NFC World.

    Inside Secure’s Mobile NFC division saw a drop in revenue of 10 percent thanks “mainly due to a strong decline in mobile handset sales by Blackberry, the group’s main client, and to the postponement until 2013 of their new generation smartphones,” the company said. The company no longer believes it will reach its 2014 revenue goal of $400 million.
