Italian Banks Start Nationwide MyBank Payment Scheme

EBA Clearing, a French provider of payment infrastructure services across the European Union, has begun to roll out MyBank electronic payment schemes. Italy is taking the lead on this project, featuring the rollout in nine Italian payment banks. The scheme currently includes 28 banks across Europe but has plans to expand to a total of 36 by the end of 2013, according to The Paypers.

    The new MyBank will enable European consumers to make purchases online and through their mobile phone without having to provide personal bank details. This rollout will be followed by other ePayment and eCommerce benefits.
