Valitor, Point Partner For Contactless mPayments In Iceland

Valitor, an issuing and acquiring services provider, with the help of Point, an electronic payment solutions provider, to complete a new software piece to be used in contactless payments and smartphone mPayments for customers in Iceland, reports IceNews. The new software has been certified by Visa Europe and is in compliance with Visa PayWave standards. The software will be the first in Iceland to allow merchants to accept payments through contactless Visa cards or smartphones containing SIM cards registered with user’s credit card.
