Netto Supermarket Launches Mobile Payments In Germany

Netto, a discount supermarket, has announced the roll out of its mobile payment app in Germany, reports Mobile Entertainment. The mobile app allows users to scan products at the checkout point and then directly purchase the items using their smartphone. Smartphones must be registered with user bank accounts to complete transactions. Over 4,000 Netto stores in Germany are prepared to accept mobile payments starting from Mid-May. Netto customers will be allowed to spend €250 per week via mobile payments.
