Seamless, Garanti Take mPayments To Romania

Seamless, a Swedish mobile payment provider, announced that its partnered with Turkey-based Garanti Bank to roll out its SEQR NFC and QR payments platform throughout Romania, reports NFC World. The partnership has also revealed plans to later launch the service in the UK by the end of the year.

    Merchants in Romania will need a software upgrade for cash tills in order to use the new platform. They will also need to place a merchant ID sticker, with the NFC tag and printed QR code, at the checkout point.
