Cheers To Bitcoins In British Pubs

Bitcoin payments are now being accepted in British pubs. According to Finextra, Stephen Early, who is the director and co-founder of Individual Pubs Limited, introduced the country’s first Bitcoin cash register app at the White Lion pub located in Norwich. Since the first installment, Bitcoin payments have been extended to other pubs owned by the chain in Cambridge, Peterborough and Hackney.

    To make a payment customers need to scan a QR code on the register receipt, which will convert the sterling amount to the Bitcoin price. The Hackney pub is in close proximity to London’s tech city, and has been invited to the next Bitcoin meeting in London later this month.
