With the integration, BJ’s members can pay for items in their virtual cart without having to take out a card or input their credit credentials. Instead, because the data is stored in the platform, the only thing the consumer has to focus on is their shopping list.

The goal, according to Mastercard, is to offer shoppers an option that doesn’t require them to look much further than their own bank and banking mobile app to make fast, simple and secure digital payments — payments that, according to Mastercard, are device-agnostic and venue-agnostic. In-app, online or in-store, the goal is for the customer to be able to shop easily and quickly.
