Square’s mobile payments platform has been introduced in St. Louis’ taxi fleet, according to an October 31 report from CBS.
The payments system allows consumers to use mobile devices to make fare transactions in participating cabs. CBS reported that previously, similar systems were not allowed by the city’s Metropolitan Taxicab Commission.
