The overhauled app allows U.S. merchants to accept cash or credit card payments inside the Shopify app, and to send receipts directly to customers at physical stores. Online merchants also gain the ability to receive notifications as orders are made, provide customers shipping alerts to customers and manage their inventory and product pricing.

The features are currently only available in the U.S., but the company said it will soon expand the service internationally. In addition, Shopify indicated it is working on an Android version of the app to be released at a later date.
