TD Bank has released a new prepaid card designed for a younger audience of consumers.
The TD Go Card is intended for teenagers who are just beginning to make decisions about personal financial management. TD is marketing the card as a tool for parents to educate their children about money and credit, the bank said in a Jan. 15 press release.

“The development of smart spending habits is a journey, and many parents want to offer teens a gradual path to increasing fiscal freedom,” Tami Farrow, a senior TD bank executive, said in a statement. “With the launch of the TD Go Card, TD Bank is offering parents a convenient and safe environment to get money to their teens and an easy way to monitor spending.”
