Amazon Opens Coachella Shop With Locker Delivery

Amazon has opened a curated store for the 2019 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the company said in a press release.

The store, available online at, will feature what Amazon calls “festival essentials,” items like sunscreen, cameras, earrings and Pedialyte. The goods will be delivered to an Amazon locker inside the festival grounds, or customers can order items in advance for delivery to their homes or at pickup points.

The festival runs for two weekends: April 12-14 and April 19-21.

“Our Amazon festival storefront is a one-stop shop for Coachella attendees. From functional items like sunscreen and hand sanitizer, to trendy accessories like instant-print cameras and aviator sunglasses, we’ve got festival-goers covered,” said Patrick Supanc, Amazon’s worldwide director of lockers and pickup. “Combined with the first-ever Amazon Lockers located inside the festival grounds, we are helping attendees spend less time worrying about packing and more time enjoying the experience of a lifetime that is Coachella.”

Shipping to lockers begins on April 11. Customers can pick one of the lockers named “Coachella,” which will all be located within zip code 92201, as a shipping address. When a package is ready for pickup, buyers will get an email with a barcode, which they will use to retrieve it from the locker. Amazon will have team members on hand to answer questions and assist customers.

“Amazon Lockers are available in more than 900 cities and towns across the U.S. as an alternative, secure and convenient delivery option available at no additional cost,” the company said. “Amazon Lockers are one of the many pickup points that Amazon offers to bring the ultimate convenience to customers. Other pickup points include Amazon pickup locations in neighborhoods, cities and campuses across the U.S., and Hub by Amazon for apartment buildings.”

Amazon is also giving away VIP passes and $3,000 for travel and accommodations. Interested parties can enter at The winner will be chosen in a random drawing.
