Amazon Buys Shipping Software Veeqo, Adds Fulfillment Dashboard, Seller Analytics

Amazon has announced Thursday (Sept. 15) a number of new features at its annual Accelerate seller conference, including better ways for sellers to fulfill orders, build data and analyze their businesses.

One of the features is the acquisition of multichannel shipping software Veeqo, which will simplify eCommerce. Veeqo helps sellers cut their shipping costs and boost the speed of fulfilling customer orders.

Sellers can use it to connect their sales channels such as Amazon, eBay, Etsy and Shopify and get discount rates with UPS, U.S. Postal Service and FedEx. Veeqo also boasts rate-shopping, to import sellers’ orders and find the lowest shipping rate automatically, taking into account size and weight.

Then there’s a new Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) Dashboard, which will provide a summary of key performance metrics for FBA businesses, such as sales, shipments, inventory and growth opportunities.

It will all be available from the same landing page and will offer real-time tracking and updates.

Amazon says the feature will help monitor the seller’s key performance indicators, and identify popular and low inventory items.

And the company also announced features to improve analytics and data for sellers.

That includes its Manage Your Experiments tool, which helps sellers optimize product content and drive higher sales, and a Product Opportunity Explorer and Search Analytics Dashboard, adding new capabilities helping brands analyze marketing campaigns and identify ways to add new customers.

“We’re focused on supporting sellers as they work to build and grow their business,” said Benjamin Hartman, vice president of Amazon North America Selling Partner Services. “The tools we’re announcing today are a direct result of seller feedback and target every step of their Amazon sales funnel, from new customer acquisition to increased lifetime value. We’re committed to continuing to develop tools and features that deliver actionable insights for sellers.”

PYMNTS reported another Amazon feature announced at Accelerate: one-day payouts.

The feature is called Express Payout and will move money from Amazon to sellers’ bank accounts in 24 hours, rather than the previous three to five days it took to move money through ACH networks. The Express Payout funds are available within 24 hours, seven days a week, made possible through partnerships with banks and credit unions.

“You want to receive your hard-earned money as quickly as possible. We heard you,” said Priya Padmanabhan, vice president of financials and developer experience.
