Apple Unveils New iPhone, iPad, Watch

Apple has launched several new products, including iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPad mini and Apple Watch Series 7 , during its annual September event, according to company press releases on Tuesday (Sept. 14).

Apple said that the new iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will “push the boundaries” of how smartphones are used. The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max feature a Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion, which will improve the response rate of the touch experience.

The pro camera technology has been upgraded with new Ultra Wide, Wide and Telephoto cameras powered by A15 Bionic, the fastest chip in a smartphone, which will give users who want to take photos and video more options and better results. The technology is ideal for macro photography and includes a new autofocus system with software integration for sharper, brighter images.

Both iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max include enhanced features to customize images, such as for photos taken in low-light conditions. Users will enjoy enhanced video with more depth-of-field transitions, macro, time lapse and slow-motion features. The iPhones will be available in five colors, according to the release.

Apple also announced the Watch Series 7, which comes with more screen area and thinner borders, and an optimized user interface. Other notable features include improved durability and more tools for health and wellness.

The new Apple Fitness+ program will be built around the Apple Watch, with the company saying it will debut guided meditation, allowing users to “practice mindfulness anywhere.” It will also come with Pilates on Sept. 27.

With Fitness+, users will have access to a new program called Workouts to Get Ready for Snow Season, which will help build strength, balance and endurance to work out on the slopes.

Jay Blahnik, Apple’s senior director of Fitness Technologies, said the company is “excited to be introducing new workouts that bring Fitness+ users more options to stay active and motivated, plus immersive guided Meditation experiences that are approachable for all and easy to fit into your day,” per the press release.

Also, Apple will introduce a new iPad mini, with rapid performance, 5G technology and USB-C port to enable better connectivity. Like the iPhones, iPad mini was designed with better camera technology and support for Apple Pencil, letting users capture photos and videos, communicate and write down ideas.

Finally, the company is introducing its new iPad, which will feature the A13 bionic chip, enabling faster performance. It will also come with the capability to retain all-day battery life, the release stated.

“With the powerful A13 Bionic, more engaging video calls with Center Stage, and double the storage, the new iPad delivers advanced capabilities, versatility and simplicity at an incredible value,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing.
