Digital Banking App Provider Ranking Strikes Gold with 3 Perfect Scores

There’s a wealth of top-ranked apps to consider in the latest edition of PYMNTS’ Provider Ranking of Digital Banking Apps because three contenders have achieved a perfect score of 100.

With those three apps now sharing the No. 1 position, they left some empty seats at Nos. 2 and 3. As a result, several apps have moved up two positions in the rankings since last time.

In another highlight from this month’s action, one mover and shaker has added seven points to its score and picked up four positions in the rankings.

Now, let’s check our balance.

The Top 5

At the top of the rankings, there are the three apps that have each earned a score of 100. Chime was here last month. Nubank moves up from the runner-up spot and Revolut leaps up from third. Since last month, the latter has also added four points to its score, making it a mover and shaker.

Five points behind is the new runner-up, Monzo. This app has moved up two places since last time with a score of 95.

Six points behind that with a score of 89 is Starling Bank. This app, too, has gained two positions since last time and is now ranked third. It’s also added three points to its score, making it a mover and shaker.

Following the others up the ladder and climbing two steps is KOHO. With a score of 85, this app is now ranked fourth.

Continuing the trend, Dave has climbed two positions. This app is now ranked fifth with a score of 83. As that score is four points higher than last time, Dave is another one of this month’s movers and shakers.

The Top 10

There’s a tie at No. 6 between two contenders that have each earned a score of 74. Current has moved up one level since last time, while Up has leaped four. With a score that’s seven points higher than last time, Up is also this month’s biggest mover and shaker.

Two points behind them is Empower. This app has climbed two places and now rests at No. 7 with a score of 72.

There’s another tie for the eighth position in the rankings, with two competitors earning a score of 70. Commercial Bank of Dubai and Tangerine have moved up one level since last time.

Also moving up one step is Monese. This app is now running ninth with a score of 67.

Just one point behind that, with a score of 66, is N26. This app has dropped two positions in the rankings and now closes out the top 10 in this month’s edition of the Provider Ranking of Digital Banking Apps.
