This month in the PYMNTS Provider Ranking of Coupon Apps we have some movers and shakers — but mostly shakers. Dollar General beat out CVS Pharmacy for the top spot leaving everyone to fall down a slot as CVS took over the No. 2 spot. Meanwhile, the lower half of the ranking is showing signs of real competition as GasBuddy and Rakuten battle for seventh place.
Let’s take a closer look at the changes:
Dollar General beat out CVS Pharmacy for the top spot to stand alone at No. 1 with a score of 96.
No. 2 now goes to CVS Pharmacy, scoring 94.
Ibotta is bumped down to No. 3 with a score of 82, four points higher than before.
Flipp, scoring at 80, gained five points but bumped down to No. 4.
GoodRX remains at No. 5, with the same score it had before, 68.
No. 6 goes to Groupon with a score of 64.
Tied for No. 7 are GasBuddy and Rakuten, both scoring 59 points. Rakuten climbed up two rankings to give GasBuddy some competition.
CoinOut: Receipts for Rewards came in with a score of 52, down seven points, to land at No. 8.
JCPenney – Shopping & Coupons hops up a ranking to No. 9, scoring 49, one point less than before.
Wrapping up the top 10 is Receipt Hog scoring 48 to take the No. 10 spot.
